      A unique Maintenance Reliability Engineer opportunity to join The Rolls‑Royce Submarines team based in Bristol, this within the Joint Platform Engineering Team (JPET). JPET is a collaboration between Babcock and Rolls-Royce. with the goal to deliver maintenance requirement optimisation to in-service submarines, in line with wider enterprise availability improvement targets and support UK submarine availability. You will support the planning and technical delivery of maintenance/availability projects for the fleet.

      Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

      What you will be doing:

      You will work as a cohesive partner to Babcock, MOD, and other external partners across the submarine enterprise, providing technical expertise to optimise maintenance requirements of non-NSRP submarine systems.

      • Become a key member of the cross-enterprise collaborative team in the Bristol area. Your attitude and ability will help to establish the JPET as a "centre of excellence" for Submarine maintenance optimisation.
      • Leading optimisation investigations in subteams in order to identify and evidence opportunities within the maintenance programme. Utilise your engineering/project management skills to deliver the technical justification/documentation to optimise maintenance requirements.
      • Support the submarine enterprise by seeking opportunities to utilise Rolls-Royce knowledge to support the delivery of non-NSRP engineering challenges.

      • Experience delivering Maintenance Improvements and Maintenance based projects (ARM,RCM,PPM)
      • Experience with Royal Navy nuclear submarines (preferred)
      • Experience working in a Scrum Agile team (preferred)
      • Experience using Azure DevOps as the primary work management tool (preferred)

      To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
