      Shift: Monday-Thursday (5a-330p)

      Purpose of Role:

      To monitor and perform total facility sanitation through the use of various cleaning equipment and systems. Perform cleaning, sanitizing, and upkeep of surrounding areas and completion of Master Sanitation Schedule Cleaning tasks assigned by Manager or Lead.

      Principal Accountabilities:

      Perform sanitation activities throughout the facility in assigned area.

      Perform Master Sanitation Schedule cleaning activities as needed.

      Dump and clean totes if needed.

      Operate and maintain cleanliness of the floor scrubbers.

      Coordinate, monitor, and assist with plant down days.

      To assist with shutdown sanitation activities for the various areas of the site.

      Help ensure that new associates in the area receive proper skills and safety training.

      Able to complete all tasks assigned by manager abiding by the Mars Quality and Safety

      Practices.

      Complete minor painting projects

      Mission Critical Competencies:

      Better than average mechanical and hand tool usage skills.

      To be able to learn quickly.

      To be able to effectively manage time and work in an environment with very little supervision.

      Have plant wide knowledge of processes and systems.

      Average problem solving skills and decision making skills.

      Each associate is responsible to complying to Mars Petcare quality and food safety policies, procedures, QMP and other auditable quality, food safety and regulatory standards in order to ensure a safe and quality product intended to delight the consumer.

      Key Functional Skills/Knowledge

      Knowledge of the chemical systems, central vac system, inline foamers, strahman stations, power washers and the central pressure systems.

      Key Experiences

      • Manufacturing experience on site – 1 year.

      Additional Requirements

      • Forklift certification
      • Working at heights
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • Confined space certification.
      • Basic computer training in spreadsheet and word processing programs.

      Decision Making Authority and Impact

      • Can stop production if chemical contamination from the CIP system is detected.
