      Pay: $25/hour

      Shift/Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, 8:00a - 6:30p (subject to change)

      Job Description

      We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Specialist to join our distribution center team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing key equipment, including conveyor systems and electric material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems and will be proactive in ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of the facility’s equipment.

      Key Responsibilities

      Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyor systems, electric material handling equipment (such as forklifts, pallet jacks), and other automated systems within the distribution center. Diagnose issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.

      Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, spare parts, and supplies. Notify management of parts shortages and provide input on parts ordering to ensure stock levels meet operational needs.

      Assist maintenance mechanics with repairs when additional manpower is required on repairs to doors, levelers, electrical, plumbing and pallet racking system, etc.

      Identify and suggest improvements to maintenance processes and equipment functionality to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize performance.

      Follow the established preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and extend the life of machinery. Record maintenance activities in the system

      Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe manner. Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times.

      Other duties as assigned by Facility Maintenance Manager.

      Qualifications

      Education & Experience:

      High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electrical or mechanical maintenance preferred.

      At least 2-3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in a distribution center or manufacturing environment, with a focus on conveyor systems, electric material handling equipment, or related technologies.

      Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

      Skills & Abilities:

      Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

      Experience with conveyors, automated material handling systems, and related equipment.

      Strong knowledge of safety procedures and maintenance practices.

      Ability to work with maintenance management software (CMMS) and keep detailed records.

      Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.

      Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other departments and report issues effectively.

      Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team when needed.

      Physical Requirements:

      Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

      Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, bending, and climbing as needed.

      Ability to safely operate equipment when necessary.
