Job Description

- Prepares athletic fields/courts for play according to weather needs.
- Cleans restrooms on a daily basis, and other facilities as necessary.
- Empties waste receptacles and picks up litter on a daily basis.
- Performs landscaping duties (mowing, pruning, watering, planting, etc.) as required.
- Regularly inspects playground/other equipment for signs of wear, vandalism, etc.
- Unlocks/locks facilities at opening/closing time.
- Organizes daily duties and facilitates additional projects.
- Assists youth leagues with annual permits, coaches' Code of Conduct and daily league activities.
- Programs/operates and monitors assigned facilities' irrigation systems.
- Inputs maintenance requests into the AIM work order system.
- Safely operates hand tools and small equipment.
- Safely maintains and operates mowers, tractors and utility vehicles.
- Works with the public in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
- Handles cleaning supplies in an environmentally safe manner.
- Detects improper functioning of equipment.
- Performs basic maintenance on hand tools and small equipment.
- Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED equivalent and six months maintenance or closely related experience.
- First Aid and CPR training required within 6 months of hire or employment may end.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
- Prefer knowledge of and experience with customer service
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outside during all seasons.
This position is responsible for performing maintenance duties at Veterans Park and other locations as assigned.About the company
