  1st Shift Maintenance Technician

  Job Description

  Join our team as a Maintenance Technician where you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. You will work with a variety of equipment, including assembly equipment, conveyors, automatic welders, stamping presses, and occasionally a powder coating line. This role requires a well-rounded, multi-craft technician who is skilled in both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

  Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrically with 480v, 3-phase motors, VFD's, sensors, relays, and circuits.
  • Troubleshoot mechanically with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, bearings, gears, and motors.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
  • Work with assembly equipment, conveyors, automatic welders, stamping presses, and powder coating lines.
  • Assist in the transition and implementation of automation lines and robotics.

  Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience, including 480-v, 3-phase, relays, sensors, and circuits.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bearings, gears, and motors.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance.
  • Self-motivated and able to stay on task.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Powder coating experience.
  • PLC experience.
  • Ability to interpret ladder logic.

  Work Environment

  This position offers a choice between two shifts: 1st shift from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday work is very rare.

  Job Type & Location

  This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia City, IN.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
