      We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, organised, and enthusiastic individual to join the Finance Team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Management Accountant. The successful candidate will work within a small, supportive, and professional team as part of the wider finance function. In this role, you will act as the Management Accountant for the Surgery Division, working closely with colleagues based across both the Winchester and Basingstoke sites. The Finance Team is primarily based in Basingstoke and operates a hybrid working model. The team works collaboratively to support the Trust's strategic aims and is encouraged to take a proactive and innovative approach to continuously improving processes and ways of working.

      The HHFT Finance Department is committed to developing its workforce and actively supports staff in studying toward CCAB or other recognised professional accountancy qualifications. The Trust offers financial support for course fees and provides study leave for those enrolled in the staff training programme.

      Main duties of the job

      To ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records and the operation of robust processes, undertaking the necessary reviews and analytical work required to support the delivery of the monthly and annual financial reporting and planning cycles. Furthermore, to provide comprehensive financial support to the Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) and Divisional Finance Manager (DFM), contributing to the effective functioning of the FP&A team and the Surgery Division.
