- Leading Market Intelligence Capability
- Collect and coordinate market and competitive intelligence on healthcare industry including the diagnostic imaging industry with clinical multi-modality perspectives, on behalf of Canon Medical and Canon Inc entities.
- Generate analysis and insights that contribute to strategy recommendations.
- Identify emerging market trends across clinical, regulatory, business and technology perspectives and report quarterly to CHCU and CMSC executives.
- Distribute intelligence updates quarterly across Canon Medical and Canon entities, highlighting key findings.
- Participate in industry related activities, building relationships with key industry bodies, for the purpose of intelligence gathering and lobbying related activities where appropriate.
- Engage thought leaders and participants in identified areas of strategy research in conjunction with the Partner Development team.
- Identify opportunities for SME engagement in up and downstream marketing activities to promote the Canon brand.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in marketing, business, health sciences or related field, plus 10 years related healthcare industry experience.
- Understanding of business intelligence principles and ways of working.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, including report writing.
- Demonstrated expertise in information gathering.
- Capabilities around critical thinking and data analysis.
- Understanding of the healthcare environment.
- Global cross-functional teams and internal stakeholder management.
- Well-developed people management skills.
- Ability to negotiate internally.
- Presentation preparation and delivery skills.
- Experience in growing a team and developing/implementing new procedures and processes preferred.
- This position is based in CHCU’s home office in Mayfield Village (Cleveland), Ohio.
- The ability to complete domestic and international travel is required.
- Create detailed future global business strategies by collaborating with key market leaders to understand the emerging clinical, financial, and operational needs of healthcare systems across academic, community and homebased wellness environments.
- Define clear clinical and market requirements for the creation of products and solutions that contribute to the health and wellness of people everywhere, which will drive revenue growth, increase market presence, and enhance brand recognition for Canon Medical
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Canon Healthcare USA, Inc. (CHCU) has an immediate opening for a Manager, Business Strategy where the qualified candidate will be r esponsible for managing business intelligence research, data, and associated activities, contributing to organizational knowledge and expertise on current and emerging trends in healthcare, market analysis, insight generation and coordinating communications to Canon entities.
