- Provide full coding support to multiple ASC's
- Research and review questions from centers and physicians
- Supervise coding analysts
- Assist with coding questions from the coding analysts
- Assist with coding backlog and overflow
- Ensure adequate coverage is assigned for coder time off (vacation, illness)
- Manage center relationships
- Work closely with center BOM’s to ensure billing compliance
- Assist with system issues in Dolbey and any other systems that are utilized
- Monitor center volumes and make adjustments as needed to ensure workloads are evenly distributed among the coding analysts
- Monitor coder productivity to ensure the productivity and accuracy standards are being met
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for coding analysts
- Work with the integration team on new center acquisitions
- Provide coverage for other coding managers
- Other duties as assigned
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) and/or Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) AND completed C2 with passing score
- Must have at least 5 years of ASC specific coding experience
- Must have at least 3 years of prior supervisory/Management experience
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, advanced understanding of published coding guidelines
- Strong analytical and auditing skills, experience with appropriate coding and billing practices, ability to implement policies and standards with proficiency, expertise with requirements of third party payors
- Experience with differing Patient Accounting systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage center relationships
- Possess strong computer skills necessary to manage a web based coding application, variety of transcription websites, encoder product, and billing system
