      Location: Remote Work (US Only)

      Position Summary:

      The Earned Value Management (EVM) Master Scheduler for Research & Development (R&D) is a project management professional accountable for developing, maintaining, and evaluating schedules and associated artifacts aligned to EVM principles and contractual requirements. This individual must be dynamic and detail-oriented, working in close coordination with Project Managers, Functional leaders, Finance, and funding partners to build, maintain, and analyze resource and cost loaded Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to ensure Sabin's vaccine R&D projects are delivered on time and within budget.

      Responsibilities:

      Functional Leadership:
      • Build EVM Scheduling infrastructure, processes, and systems in support of detailed, compliant, and effective Integrated Master Schedules.
      • Support proposal efforts through ensuring adherence to requirements and developing schedule, and associated modifications with high quality and in a timely manner.

      Schedule Development:
      • Manage and ensure reporting requirements to funding partners and other organizations are met.
      • Using MS Project, build and maintain a detailed Integrated Schedule aligned with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), containing control accounts, work packages, and detailed activity sequences, durations, resourcing, and costing.

      Baseline Management:
      • Establish and monitor critical path and key milestones.
      • Manage modifications through change control process.

      Monitoring and Analysis:
      • Routinely update IMS with actual progress and calculate Earned Value metrics such as BCWP, BCWS, ACWP.
      • Analyze schedule variances to identify issues and opportunities and propose plausible solutions to manage.
      • Perform what-if scenario planning to assess impacts of potential changes.

      Reporting and Communication:
      • Generate detailed reports highlighting performance and corrective action plans.
      • Communicate schedule status and insights to project leaders.
      • Maintain documentation and traceability for schedule data.
      • Manage/ensure reporting requirements to funding agencies are met.
      • Work collaboratively with consultants/contractor/partner project managers as needed to ensure timely project execution.


      Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree or PSP/EVP/PMP certification preferred
      • 7+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or similar industry and familiarity with project management practices
      • Expert level experience using MS Project and other project management tools
      • Advanced understanding of EVM theory, principles, and approaches
      • Demonstrated skills in developing and managing project plans and budgets with multiple partners and vendors
      • Proven experience implementing monitoring and evaluation tools
      • Demonstrated proficiency in core Microsoft 365 applications
      • Ability to work across the organization and build strong relationships with colleagues, managing their expectations
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of personnel
      • Strong attention to detail, analytical, ability to manage complex tasks, highly organized, dependable and able to prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines
      • Ability to process information quickly and listen carefully to feedback and comments from staff and adapt plans/actions accordingly

      • Ability to travel domestically and internationally with notice

      Sabin's philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased, equitable, competitive compensation and benefits. Using benchmarking and salary survey data, the starting annual salary for this position ranges from $77,000 - $115,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, certifications/degree. As a grant-funded organization, Sabin actively seeks funding for existing and new programs.
