Responsible to plan and execute all Facilities, infrastructure, and PL projects across the Conventional business.
Develop execution processes and procedures for as a part of the Facilities Engineering & Construction leadership team.
Responsible for the delivery of safe projects, on budget, on scheduled, with high quality.
Work closely with Earthworks, Drilling and Completions teams to deliver industry leading cycle times.
Identify yearly budgets, resource planning (construction), evaluate early concepts for viability
Develop and manage Health and Safety vision; implements “Zero Incident” vision on projects
Coordinate and manage deliverables in multiple projects
Lead the execution construction management team
Define key deliverables/timing needed to achieve construction objectives.
Ensure all aspects of projects workflows are communicated, understood and followed by relevant construction participants and stakeholders
Portfolio planning and execution, including cost and schedule
Work closely with Supply Chain Management to develop contracting strategy plans, issue buds, evaluate and award construction contracts
Develop detailed construction execution plans including HSE (health, safety, and Environment), engineering, construction, commissioning.
Continually identify cost and schedule reduction initiatives in all aspects of construction execution for Cenovus projects
Keen awareness of Indigenous Partnership opportunities and alignment with ESG Values/Targets
Work with the project management team to define and implement mitigations, manage the risk/mitigations
Plan and de-conflict with CVE field teams to ensure all simultaneous operations (SIMOPs) and/or concurrent work hazards are addressed
Develop sound quality assurance processes for CVE to monitor and control the manufacturing of infrastructure
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Technologist (P. Tech)
15+ years of field project execution including field construction management
Knowledge and familiarity with codes and standards
Possess 10+ years of experience in a Supervisory or Management role.
Class 5 Drivers license or equivalent.
Possess and maintain a safe driving record.
Able to coordinate and maintain an applied program for manufacturing quality assurance.
Write clear and concise reports.
Strong communication, organizational, time-management and decision-making skills.
Work independently and/or function in a team environment, concentrating on team goals and objectives.
Proven experience in people management, excelling at teamwork, facilitating decisions, and ability to establish credibility with field staff
Proven experience in strategic planning and critical thinking
Proven experience in risk management

The Manager, Facilities and Pipeline Construction will report directly to the Director, Facilities Engineering & Construction. This role will be accountable for directing project-based contractors to execute projects. Contractors include front line supervisors, construction manager, quality assurance, and construction technicians. This role will also be accountable for contracting strategy, contractor engagement, KPI tracking and delivering industry leading safety performance.
