- Lead and manage multiple complex allocation and indirect rate engagements from planning through delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to State and Local Government leaders.
- Ensure deliverables comply with federal regulations and applicable state requirements.
- Oversee financial analyses, data validation, and supporting documentation for plans and rate proposals.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and scope to ensure successful execution.
- Provide subject matter expertise in:
- Allocation Plans (CAPs)
- Indirect Rate Proposals (ICRPs)
- Public sector financial reporting
- Review and approve technical work products to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify process improvements and innovative approaches to enhance client outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and expansion.
- Identify cross-selling and account growth opportunities.
- Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and client presentations.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and marketing efforts.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach consultants and senior consultants.
- Provide constructive feedback and performance guidance.
- Support staff professional development and technical skill-building.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
- Six (6) years of experience in governmental accounting, allocation, or public sector consulting.
- Strong knowledge of federal principles
- Proven experience managing complex projects and client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CPA, CGFM, or related professional certification.
- Experience working directly with State and/or Local Government agencies.
- Prior consulting experience in a professional services environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
MGT is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Fiscal Plans to lead complex, client-facing engagements for State and Local Government clients. This role serves as a trusted advisor to public sector leaders and oversees the development of allocation plans, indirect rate proposals, and related financial reporting deliverables.
Candidates should be willing to problem-solve, possess critical thinking skills, be able to work independently but also in collaboration with other staff, and be self-motivated. We are looking for an individual who is seeking a fast-paced working environment and has a growth mindset.
The individual should also have a genuine interest in working with the public sector and assisting with fiscal projects. This position requires significant time working directly with spreadsheets, modeling, and client interaction.
