- Business requirements
- Support by using market knowledge and experience – develop and review documentation for Business, Operations and Technical requirements, including strategies, design, testing and implementation until completion for the KS to TSYS migration.
- Support Conversion Delivery Team in Mocks and Dress rehearsal activities.
- Support to ensure technical mandates and specifications of the payment schemes (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) are applied to business decisions and requirements.
- Support to ensure updates to the overall end-to-end processes and procedures manuals (new content and changes to existing information), escalation and support hand-offs documents, etc.
- Support to research and provide solutions with respect to design and implementation emerging solutions and strategies, including planning for further initiatives, using new technology while remaining within the confines of Bank standards.
- Support Pilot (production validation before conversion) phase to manage planning, readiness, execution, issue management and reporting.
- Implementation support and business readiness
- Work closely with the Senior Manager, TSYS Integration and Payments Support and all Product Owners & Engineering Leads to ensure all the necessary steps are completed leading up to pilots and conversions, in accordance with strategies in place while meeting End Users and Program requirements.
- Support the Conversion Project team with necessary business line decisions and formal signoffs in a timely manner to avoid impacting conversion timeline primarily for Pilot and as needed for other phases of the program.
- Review and provide input into necessary requirement/design/testing/implementation documents and support technology teams (business analysis/development/testing/production support) when required to ensure successful implementation.
- Support training efforts, provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs as required.
- Project Management
- Support the tracking, monitoring, and communicating progress of initiatives against defined project milestones to ensure progress versus expectations.
- Support project adherence to Scotiabank project management policies and standards.
- Support managing project scope, ensuring objectives, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies and constraints are clearly defined and documented.
- Support preparation of executive meeting documentations, presentations, and chair meetings where needed.
- Establish a two-way communication process with project participants, senior management, and other stakeholders to maintain support, negotiate priorities and ensure change initiatives stay on track.
- Support scheduling of all planning steps including change management strategy planning and business planning/alignment in collaboration with business partners.
- Support the management of Pilot project plan by tracking, monitoring and communication of progress of pilot specific initiatives against defined project milestones to ensure progress versus expectations.
- Support to manage the RAID Log, create weekly dashboards and other documents/decks as necessary for pilot and other phases as necessary.
- Communicate the project status to the Team Members/Senior Management. Preparing project communication documentation such as project’s dashboard, meeting minutes, etc. Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely fashion.
- Change Management
- Support communication efforts (e.g. - design, development, delivery, and management of communications) to deliver a single consistent message across the organization and initiatives in partnership with the key stakeholders within the business line/segment/corporate function they support.
- Support assessment of change impact by conducting impact analysis, assessing change readiness, and identifying key stakeholders as required within the business line/segment/corporate function they support.
- Support scheduling of all planning steps including change management strategy and business planning/alignment in collaboration with business partners.
- Support training efforts, providing input, documenting requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of training programs as required working with key stakeholders within the business line/segment/corporate function they support.
- Champion a customer focused and strong risk culture by playing a key role in the change management process by leveraging the Bank’s relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Develop effective relationships
- Primary: Conversion Team, Pilot team, Delivery Teams, and all impacted stakeholders across the Business functions;
- Credit Cards and Lines of Credit product teams (RPUL, Small Business, RESL, Private Banking);
- IT, Products, Risk, Collections, Operations, Fraud, etc;
- Third party vendors and associations (Visa, Amex, TSYS, G+D, Symcor etc.)
- 5 years of lending and banking industry experience and 3+ years of Conversion project experience preferably with TSYS platform conversions
- Strong understanding of credit cards and unsecured lending products, programs, processes, policies, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Prior experience with system migrations/conversions and 3rd Party vendors
- Experience working in Agile environment setup across multiple delivery teams
- TSYS knowledge and experience a definite asset.
- Prior business testing, production validation, project management, strategy or experience operating in a business line is an asset.
- Experience in using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and strong experience and expertise with process flow tools such as Visio or Blueworks, etc.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills including preparing presentation decks.
- Understanding financial services industry trends, issues, and competitor practices.

The individual will be part of the TSYS Integration and Payments Support team working closely with Senior Managers and Managers in the Core Program team, to ensure the design of the core credit card and lending system meets the business needs for conversion, and is optimized to deliver cost efficiencies and potential revenue opportunities while driving towards the Payment Transformation Roadmap end state.
