Job Description

- Design and deliver various daily, weekly, and quarterly reports for the department as well as performance measurement for key strategic outsourcing vendors.
- Works on multiple projects simultaneously
- Transform Data into Actionable Insights
- Interview and work with end users to identify and implement solutions to address any gaps or failure points within existing business processes.
- Developing manuals, user guides, and updating policies and procedures
- Confer with personnel to assure smooth function of newly implemented systems or procedures.
- Identify opportunities to create savings and reduce waste.
- Organize and maintain project files and databases.
- Develop comprehensive end-to-end test cases at the application and multi-application levels
- Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all stakeholders updated on project progress.
- Determine and document user requirements for business processes.
- Perform all other duties and projects that may be assigned.
- Direct supervision of three to four (3-4) analysts as well as co-op student(s) and Contractor(s)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business or related technical field
- Five (5) years of related work experience providing data analytics, reporting, process improvement, project management.
- One (1) year experience in a staff supervisory, leadership, and/or major program management
- Experience in managing, coaching and developing a team.
- Advanced SQL database management and maintenance skills
- Practical application ability with Microsoft Office and Visio
- Detailed analytical abilities
- Strong experience in user testing and project management
- Ability to manage moderate sized projects and cross functional teams.
- Ability to collaborate across complex organizations.
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications
- The ability to pass the MBTA Advanced Excel and PowerPoint test.
- Effective organizational, multitasking, time management and quantitative skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak to large audiences and facilitate meetings.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner
- Have excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- A High School Diploma or GED with an additional seven (7) years of directly related experience substitutes for the bachelor’s degree requirement.
- An associate degree from an accredited institution an additional three (3) years of directly related experience substitutes for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.
- A master’s degree in a related subject substitute for two (2) years of general experience.
- A nationally recognized certification, or statewide/professional certification in a related field substitutes for one year of experience.
- Experience and knowledge of business process redesign
- Experience and knowledge of database principles and system architecture
- Experience working with interactive data visualization products such as Tableau.
The Manager Business Analysis creates detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for assigned department. Translates business data into meaningful information that improves departmental processes. Creates presentations, proposals, project plans, policies and procedures and other reports to assist in transformation efforts of the department such as process redesign, establishing and meeting KPIs, and creating operational savings. Supervises a team of analysts.About the company
