What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute a long-term vision and strategy for the OTR APIs related to vehicle management and payments
- Own and implement systems designs of the API platform, making high-judgment design calls
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team
- Collaborate with product and commercial partners to prioritize customer requirements for API development
- Establish and maintain a robust engineering roadmap, ensuring clarity and motivation for the team
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 6 years of experience in software engineering, including 2 years in engineering management
- Proven experience in developing large-scale distributed systems and validating solutions for accuracy and performance
- Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in cloud and data environments
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience building high-performance distributed systems at internet-scale companies
- Experience in developing credit card products or solutions within a scheme/network
- Familiarity with closed-loop card systems
