      We are looking to hire an experienced Tax Manager that is responsible for assisting in the sales and income tax functions within the organization. The candidate will be responsible for developing strong partnerships with internal operations groups and other accounting, financial, and regulatory groups to perform required job responsibilities. The candidate should have strong research skills and experience preferably in the taxation of software products and/or services.

      Responsibilities:

      • Respond to both internal and external tax questions regarding taxability of the Company’s products and services, tax exemptions, etc.
      • Research customer sales tax disputes
      • Determine appropriate sales tax sourcing for software related products and services, including cloud-based products, for complex multi-state transactions
      • Analyze and review the impact of proposed tax laws to maintain Company’s sales tax matrix and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws
      • Reconcile sales tax data including general ledger accounts
      • Manage sales and use tax returns outsourced compliance process including filings, payments and notices
      • Manage sales tax audits
      • Manage customer tax addresses and assist with revenue apportionment data compiled for state and local income tax reporting
      • Maintain sales tax calculation software including product and customer taxability set up and troubleshooting
      • Manage business annual report filings outsourced process
      • Prepare property tax returns
      • Assist with other tax responsibilities such as making estimated payments, preparing forms and various reconciliations

      Requirements
      • 7+ years of relevant tax/accounting experience
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
      • CPA certification
      • Master’s degree in Tax is desirable
      • Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
      • Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and to meet deadlines.
      • Accuracy and attention to details are critical
      • Willingness to take initiative and follow through on tasks, projects
      • Strong data reconciliation skills and general ledger understanding
      • Exposure to tax accounting software and tax compliance software
      • Experience with Vertex & Great Plains software a plus
