      The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, lending, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients.       The office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for CIB banking is seeking a CIB Business Management Director to join its leadership team as the senior business manager for lending activities. In collaboration with senior business and functional leaders across CIB banking and the enterprise, the CIB Business Management Director will lead the implementation, execution, and ongoing monitoring and reporting of CIB’s strategy across lending activities within Banking.

      In this role, you will:

      • Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team
      • In partnership with the corporate banking, fund finance, and capital management leadership, drive loan delivery and support activities including capital optimization strategies, balance sheet projections, new product approvals and other efforts to drive capital discipline and returns
      • Lead efforts to strengthen the infrastructure related to the delivery of lending activities with CIB and enterprise partners
      • Partner closely with business and platform leaders to care for regulatory requirements and risk related to business activities for lending including overseeing the business procedures and relevant controls as well as ensuring the successful completion of RCSA
      • Partner with other COO leads in Banking on both the client agenda and the capital markets syndication activity
      • Assist with the execution and monitoring of relevant committee activities related to capital allocation in support of CIB strategy and clients
      • Manage key strategic vendor relationships partnering with enterprise teams
      • Partner with business leaders and platform partners, assist with monitoring business and financial metrics related to all lending activities and other key performance indicators
      • Facilitate communication across portfolio management and leaders to promote alignment with CIB’s strategic priorities
      • Lead strategic analysis and presentations for lending activities
      • Lead, coach and develop a team of business managers

      Key responsibilities include:

      • Collaborate with stakeholders within CIB and CIB banking to drive alignment of execution plans related to lending activities
      • In partnership with CIB and enterprise partners, drive infrastructure and control related activities for lending including the successful completion of RCSA
      • Support capital optimization efforts in alignment with business and client priorities

      The successful candidate will have very strong written and oral communication skills and a proven ability to influence senior leaders. The leader will have very strong data aggregation, analysis and presentation skills with an impeccable reputation for integrity, accuracy, consistency and business acumen.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirement.

      Base salary - $350,000

      This role is eligible for an incentive bonus opportunity.

      Required Qualifications:

      • 8+ years of corporate & investment banking business management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
      • 4+ years of management experience
      • 4+ year covering credit delivery, structured products or loan portfolio experience, or equivalent experience

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi- tasking as required
      • Ability to manage large-scale initiatives including stakeholders across business, legal, control and technical teams
      • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and achieve goals in a dynamic environment
      • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills
      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
      • In-depth understanding of investment banking and corporate banking products including capital markets, structured products, M&A, loan syndications and underwriting as well as other relevant Corporate Banking products
      • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and successful change management

      Job Expectations:

      • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
      • Registration for FINRA Series 24 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
      • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
      • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
      • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

      Pay Range

      $207,900.00 - $431,900.00 Annual
