What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as Project Manager for various offshore operations, overseeing a team of geologists and hydrographers
- Collect, process, analyze, and interpret high-resolution geophysical data
- Develop plans, specifications, analyses, evaluations, maps, and reports
- Communicate technical concepts and evaluation results through oral presentations
- Ensure conformance to applicable technical standards and company policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master of Science degree (or higher) in geology, geophysics, geological oceanography, or related field
- Typically 10-20 years of relevant experience
- Strong technical/scientific writing skills and ability to edit diverse scientific reports
- Experience with geophysical and geotechnical systems, including specific equipment and software
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with multi-channel seismic-reflection survey design, implementation, and interpretation
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Surfer software
- Experience developing technical and cost proposal responses for requests for qualifications and proposals
- In-depth expertise in own discipline and ability to mentor less experienced colleagues
