What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform market analysis and examinations on insurance companies operating in Oregon to ensure compliance with the Oregon Insurance Code and other regulations
- Address market conduct issues through corrective actions to protect consumers
- Monitor and analyze financial institutions and insurance products to ensure availability and affordability for consumers
- Assist in the licensing and regulation of insurance companies and agents
- Prepare reports and documentation that clearly articulate regulatory findings and recommendations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must hold the Accredited Insurance Examiner (AIE) or Certified Insurance Examiner (CIE) designation
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent relevant experience (three years of experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree)
- At least 1.5 years of experience in insurance compliance examination work, auditing, accounting, underwriting, claims adjudication, or loss adjusting
- Understanding of federal law, Oregon statutes, and administrative rules related to insurance
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience reviewing or creating insurance forms and communicating insurance terms
- Strong technical and report writing skills
- Excellent team-oriented interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with regulatory guidance documents and insurance contracts
- Previous experience in a regulatory environment
