What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform market analysis and examinations on foreign and domestic insurance companies to ensure compliance with the Oregon Insurance Code and other regulations
- Address market conduct problems through appropriate corrective actions to protect the insurance-buying public
- Conduct licensing, regulating, and monitoring of financial institutions and insurance companies
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the fair treatment of consumers in the insurance market
- Prepare technical reports and documents that clarify regulatory language

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Hold the Accredited Insurance Examiner (AIE) or Certified Insurance Examiner (CIE) designation
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 1.5 years of experience in insurance compliance examination work, auditing, accounting, underwriting, claims adjudication, or loss adjusting work related to the insurance industry
- Understanding of regulations, federal law, and Oregon statutes related to insurance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience reviewing or creating insurance forms and communicating insurance terms
- Excellent technical and report writing skills
- Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills
