      The Chief Risk Office (CRO) function has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture.       You will be responsible for global coverage of Metals within the Global Foreign Exchange business, and work within a team whose mission is to achieve the effective build-out and oversight of Deutsche Bank’s re-entry into the Base Metals trading business.

      Your key responsibilities

      • Daily monitoring of risk, stress, and Value-at-Risk exposures against limits, driving both articulation and adherence to risk appetite

      • Support other Risk management functions, ensuring full suite of valuation processes, risk metrics, infrastructure, and controls are developed and implemented to support the commercial build-out of the Metals business

      • Engage and challenge Front Office desk heads and senior traders with respect to exposures, valuations, new business, market activity, risk culture, controls, and risk appetite; escalate risk exposures/issues as required to senior management within the CRO function

      • Ensure risk completeness and accuracy, ensure the limit framework and appetite is commensurate with infrastructure, and develop and implement the Risks-not-in framework

      • Market Risk Management: highlighting key risks and new important trades/products and escalating emerging risks, concentrated positions, and any risk position that is particularly vulnerable to plausible stress scenarios or current market conditions

      Your skills and experience

      • Experience in market risk management, either within the second line (market risk) or first line (trading, structuring). Additional experience in roles in any of valuations, market data, or risk methodology is required

      • Knowledge of Metals products and markets desirable, but more importantly a willingness to learn and grow in the space, and bring to bear your exceptional analytical, pricing, modelling, and data management skills to building out the Metals risk controls and infrastructure

      • Experience in markets-related roles, with solid understanding of the impact of financial and economic events on markets and market risk positions

      • Strong technical and analysis skills (dbAnalytics, Excel, Visual Basic Application or similar, statistics, time series. Knowledge of Python and SQL desirable)
