What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate and schedule patient testing and procedures, ensuring timely appointments
- Prepare, post, and distribute daily schedules, communicating any changes to relevant personnel
- Verify patient information and equipment needs from physician offices
- Maintain accurate patient records and compile daily census statistics
- Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations and ensure compliance with safety standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of previous scheduling and payroll experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers and staff
- Proficiency in data entry and maintaining patient records
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree in business, healthcare, or related field
- Experience in a healthcare setting or with surgical services administration
- Familiarity with insurance pre-authorizations and patient safety standards
