- Listen to customers and understand their needs
- Educate customers on products and services
- Accurately and efficiently process teller transactions
- Support operational needs such as cash ordering, vault, ATM, wire transfer, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and compliance-related tasks
- Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand
- Complete other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 6 months customer service experience, including either data entry or cash handling experience
- Able to travel between local bank branches, as needed
- Verbal communication, interpersonal skills, customer service, well-organized, time management, prioritization, comfort with technology (internet-user level)
- Bilingual ability is not required but is a strong plus depending on location

We’re looking for helpful associates who don’t want to be tied to a single location. You will frequently travel between several local branches and pitch in when needed. Our “regional tellers” are critical, full-time teammates who make sure nearby bank branches are ready to serve customers when they’re ready for us. We’ll provide on-the-job training in teller skills.
