      About the Opportunity

      Reporting to the Manager, Primary Health Care Central Zone, the Marketing and Promotions Advisor is responsible to collaborate with a variety of programs and services within Primary Health Care and Chronic Disease Management to develop and manage a broad range of written and visual content. This includes content for web, social media, educational and navigational content for patients and primary care teams, learning development, and content management systems. The Advisor will support programs in the Primary Health Care Central Zone Portfolio that include Community Health Teams, Healthy NS, Nova Scotia Brotherhood, Nova Scotia Sisterhood, and Hants Health and Wellness Team

      The Marketing and Promotions Advisor will work with programs and services to redesign, rewrite and conduct reviews of new or existing content needs and research to understand the target audience, users, goals, content and intended brand for program outcomes and program improvements.

      The Marketing and Promotions Advisor provides guidance and support for consistency in content design and tone in collaboration with Primary Health Care and Chronic Disease Management teams and leaders. The Advisor ensures proper linking with relevant internal and public facing content to provide a consistent user journey for all audiences.

      Travel between sites is necessary at times.

      About You

      We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

      • University degree in healthcare and/or post-secondary diploma in communication, information technology, marketing/business, journalism, public relations or other related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
      • Minimum five years’ of experience in Information Technology, Information Management, Communications or Public Engagement, preferably in health or non-profit sector.
      • Minimum three years’ of experience writing plain language, accessible content for patients or health professionals required.
      • Extensive knowledge of tools such as Canva required
      • Proven experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
      • Video Production and editing experience is an asset
      • Expertise in the development of knowledge translation tools (e.g., infographics, navigational guides, etc).
      • Ability to negotiate complex issues or difficult scenarios within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
      • Knowledge of healthcare, information technology and information management best practices relating to content development and management
      • ·Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, with proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within teams.
      • ·Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems, content management systems and terminology an asset.
      • Certificate in project management or organization change management an asset.

      About You Continued

      • Experience working in online environment managing content and production of content management and/or learning management systems (LMS) an asset..
      • Understanding of the social determinants of health and health equity
      • Health care and/or non-profit experience is preferred.
      • Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.

      Hours

      • Permanent Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
      • Shifts may include evening, weekends and holidays

      Compensation and Benefits

      $33.13- $41.42 Hourly
