      WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH?
      This role exists within North America Direct Digital (Our client’s own retail business). The Senior Buyer works closely with fellow merchants, buyers and cross-functional teams within Direct; in particular Digital and Stores Buying, Consumer Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Site Merchandising and Brand Marketing. We also work with finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on business reporting which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviors.

      You will report to the Buying Director of your team.

      WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON?
      You will partner in bringing the seasonal assortment to life on the Digital platforms. You will understand related aspects of the business and marketplace in making your plans, including coordinating between genders, brands and how individual products or collections impact each other. You will collaborate cross functionally to ensure assortment plans meet consumer demand and strategies execute.
      You will hone consumer-centric assortment plans across multiple seasons with an understanding of Direct’s position in the market & competitive landscape to blend fact-based and intuitive inputs. You will participate in seasonal buy reviews and in-season trading to influence actions to optimize growth with your critical partners.
      You will be responsible for 50% of the Women’s Sportswear Footwear business with ownership of Classics and Solar.

      WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
      • We are looking for consumerists with an affinity for product that enjoy the energy of moving at the pace of retail and the consumer. A successful Senior Buyer will thrive and contribute to a positive and progressive team dynamic, as well as lead in a way that elevates the total team.
      • This role is responsible for assorting, adapting & curating consumer right assortments with end in mind for the Direct Digital business by using historical data, analytics and real-time market feedback to advise future seasons while winning today (in-season read & react/selling & serving)!
      • The candidate should possess proven retail competence and analytical abilities, have an understanding of retail environments, and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business.
        • Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
        • Experienced Buyer with Footwear experience
        • 2-4 years’ experience in footwear buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment
        • Strong affinity for current market trends for Her, Sport, and how our client’s apparel can continue to be a style leader in the marketplace
        • Footwear, Apparel, Equipment or relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising experience
        • Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT and others
        • Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action
