      The Caterpillar Graduate Leadership Development Program seeks to develop the future business leaders of Caterpillar. The program is three years in duration, with 3 one-year rotations across the Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development, and Corporate/Business unit Finance organizations. The outcome at the end of the three years is placement in a group and/or role of strategic importance to the enterprise.

      GLDP participants will have unique exposure to senior leaders in the organization and access to professional development opportunities. The Graduate Leadership Development Program will provide participants with an opportunity to chart their careers at Caterpillar and help them succeed.

      Program Expectations:

      The GLDP Associate will support the business in:

      • Development of high-quality strategic and financial recommendations
      • Gathering of qualitative and quantitative data from publicly available sources, subscribed databases, expert interviews, and internal Caterpillar business units
      • Integrating, analyzing, and summarizing the above data to derive insightful conclusions that maximize business impact and support strategic decision making
      • Development of detailed financial models to support M&A transactions or to supplement corporate finance or business unit finance analyses
      • Creating models, reports, and presentations to clearly communicate strategic and financial recommendations and supporting data to senior stakeholders

      The candidate must also have, or be able to quickly develop:

      • Strong Verbal and written presentation abilities to communicate complex strategic topics articulately
      • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and good basic financial acumen
      • An understanding of Caterpillar’s businesses and products
      • Intellectual curiosity, global mindset, and passion for continual learning
      • Alignment with Caterpillar’s Values in Action: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Commitment, and Sustainability

      Required Qualifications:

      • Recently completed an MBA from an accredited institution or will be graduating by June 2024

      The position will be based in Caterpillar’s corporate headquarters in Irving, TX, and may involve occasional domestic or international travel (as needed, will vary by project).
