What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate and develop relationships between the facility and rehab teams for optimal patient care
- Oversee appropriate MDS nursing process collaboration in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Provide training on GG coding for therapy and facility staff
- Maintain effective customer relations and enhance facility profitability through education on reimbursement issues
- Assist with new staff orientation and training on MDS coding principles
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active LPN/RN license to practice in state(s) employed
- 1-3 years of MDS experience
- Excellent geriatric clinical knowledge base
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work with minimal direct oversight
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in coaching, counseling, and mentoring staff
- Knowledge of Medicare billing procedures and documentation compliance
- Good customer and employee problem resolution skills
