Assist senior mechanical engineers to transfer existing cad models to our PDM software Upchain
Assist conceptual and prototype designs using appropriate methodologies and interact with other team member to develop design requirements and create product specifications.
Develop standard components database on Upchain using SolidWorks
Design and document components and assemblies for instruments and accessories using SolidWorks
Create part numbers and proper manufacturing drawings.
Develop processes to assemble components, draft product assembly instructions, document assembly procedures for transfer to manufacturing.

SolidWorks proficiency.
Prior work experience with Upchain or other PDM software is a plus.
Prior work experience in designing instruments and mechanical products is a plus.
Strong communication and documentation skills, self-motivated with good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Work with senior engineers to get job done in a fast paced and demanding working environment.
This position requires onsite attendance.

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a junior mechanical engineer to join instrument R&D team in a 3- month project. The R&D team is chartered to design and develop various functional instruments to meet the organization’s daily operation needs. The R&D activities focus on rapid system prototyping and long-term technology development and application.
Please Note: We will prioritize recent 2025 graduates in consideration for this internship over other candidates who are currently in school.

$22-24/hour for Undergraduate Students
