!*!SUMMARY: The Engineer will perform routine engineering tasks under the direct supervision of an Senior Engineering Manager with the goal of developing more advanced applied engineering skills. This position is responsible for part inspections, non-conformance investigations, detailed part stress analysis, implementing solutions to maintain part integrity, and processing deviation request and disposition documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct product design, modeling, stress analysis, testing, etc.
Develop work instructions or update current instructions to routine tasks performed to improve internal processes.
Construct/Implement Part Inspection manuals.
Support continuous improvement and standardization projects necessary to achieve quality, delivery and cost targets.
Identify and report problems with specific processes or products to senior engineers.
Ensure compliance with applicable company or customer quality requirements in all assigned programs, functions, products, and areas.
All other duties as assigned.
Travel may be required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required: Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in an applicable engineering field from an ABET accredited four-year college or university. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired: Experience with military qualification of new components, and reverse engineering of existing product (2) years of experience in an applicable design, production, maintenance, or modification engineering related role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and carry boxes and other awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs, including up and down stairs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday. Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
