What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform consulting level work for power uprates in the nuclear industry
- Develop engineering proposals, cost estimates, and manage resources for task completion
- Review calculations and equipment evaluations to support client recommendations
- Lead and mentor junior engineering staff on technical tasks related to power plants
- Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear power industry
- Experience with nuclear power uprates and/or turbine retrofit projects
- Strong technical report writing skills and knowledge of mechanical engineering applications
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from an ABET accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience in power uprate pinch point assessments or turbine/generator refurbishments
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations applicable to nuclear power plants
- Strong interest in numerical computations and problem-solving
