      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Collaborate with engineers, scientists, CAD specialists, and machine shop staff to support research initiatives
      - Perform engineering calculations and analyses using traditional methods and software
      - Develop and execute test procedures on various components and systems
      - Assist in the assembly, integration, testing, and shipping of equipment
      - Contribute to the development of PLC-based control systems and SCADA interfaces

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must be enrolled for academic credit at an educational institution
      - Some combination of skills in Solidworks, AutoCAD, Engineering Equation Solver (EES), and machine tools
      - Hands-on technical skills and ability to work in a shop environment
      - Ability to perform electrical engineering tasks including soldering and electronic testing
      - Physical ability to stand for extended periods

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with instrumentation and components for scientific research
      - Familiarity with database management and system modeling
      - Previous involvement in technical documentation or report writing
      - Knowledge of ultra-high purity (UHP) and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) processes
      - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
