- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN is required.
- Basic Life Support Certification is required.
- Ambulatory Care Experience is preferred.
- AAMA Certification is preferred.
- Excellent customer service, public relations and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work with a fluctuation in workload while working independently
- Ability to adapt to change and engage in ongoing process improvement
- Flexibility to work at other sites is encouraged
Job OverviewM Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Bloomington Oxboro Dermatology Clinic located in Bloomington, MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Bloomington Oxboro Dermatology Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic is open Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!
This is a 0.9 FTE (72 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.
The schedule for this opening will range from 07:00AM and 5PM Monday - Friday. This role will split time between the Bloomington Oxboro Clinic and The Eden Prairie Clinic. Tuesdays and Thursdays are at Eden Prairie Dermatology Clinic.

As a member of the patient care team, a Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. MA's are responsible for adhering to policies, procedures and practice guidelines; promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab draws
