      Job Description Summary:
      Reports to the Practice Manager and works under the Clinical Supervisor and Office Supervisor. Performs clerical and patient care duties including assisting the physician, answering phones, admitting/discharging patients, and data entry.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Greet patients and visitors professionally; assist with inquiries.
      • Answer calls, take and relay messages.
      • Gather patient information for records and payments.
      • Maintain patient files, charts, and records.
      • Assist with patient care, including medical history, exams, minor procedures, lab tests, and injections.
      • Schedule procedures, prepare procedure orders, and coordinate hospital admissions.
      • Triage patient calls to determine care urgency.
      • Manage medication dosage, refills, and patient compliance.
      • Update patient information in EMR.
      • Maintain physician calendar and ensure schedule coordination.

      Additional Duties:

      • Attend meetings, enhance professional development, and complete assigned projects.
      • Adhere to organizational and regulatory standards.
      • Available for overtime or additional shifts as needed.

      Education/Experience:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required.
      • Medical Assistant Program completion or equivalent experience preferred.
      • Previous medical office experience and Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.

      Skills:

      • Knowledge of patient care procedures and office procedures.
      • Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
      • Ability to perform EKGs, venipuncture, and related procedures.
      • Ability to lift, stand, and assist patients physically.

      Working Conditions:

      • Physician office environment. Flexible hours required.
      • Physical demands may include lifting, standing, and assisting patients.
