Job Description

- Greeting patients promptly and professionally;
- Assisting patients with the registration process including but not limited to assistance with collecting required patient information, medical history, relevant documents, and electronic signatures;
- Preparing the patient for the exam by performing preliminary tests, as needed;
- Reporting relevant information to the provider;
- Assisting the provider with patient care as requested;
- Performing scribe duties, as needed;
- Reviewing treatment procedures with patients;
- Assisting in ordering tests/retrieving results;
- Reviewing discharge instructions;
- Bracing & brace measurements under the supervision of a licensed professional;
- Collecting any patient payments and scheduling follow up appointments, if required;
- Balancing and closing a journal each day, when applicable;
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality and complies with HIPAA standards;
- Other responsibilities as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Medical Assistance Certification or Degree in the Sciences preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a medical setting preferred;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Strong data entry skills;
- CPR/BLS preferred
