- Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
- Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
- Accurately enter patient information in to the electronic medical record.
- Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
- Updating insurance information.
- Escorting patients to exam rooms.
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms.
- Assisting physician with minor procedures.
- Preparing patients for physicians (vitals, histories, etc.).
- Answering patient questions at the request of the physician.
- Other duties as assigned

CLERICAL MA POSITION - 4.5 Days per Week - Sign On Bonus Offered!Toledo Clinic's Dermatology Office located on Secor Rd in Toledo, OH is seeking a full-time Clerical Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide administrative support in a busy medical office. This position is M/T/TH (8:00-4:00), W (8:00-3:00), and F (8:00-12:30) and offers employee benefits.
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
General Summary:
Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office and as needed performs clinical duties
Works under the supervision of the Office Manager

Required:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
-Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Medical Assisting Credential (ie: RMA or CMA)
Education:
- Medical Assisting degree or diploma required.
Preferred:
- Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
