      Company Description

      Busy dermatology practice in East Brunswick, NJ is searching for a reliable Medical Assistant with at least 1 year experience in dermatology to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our Dermatology practice running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant will assist in surgical and basic examinations, maintain patient records and explain common medical procedures to patients.

      Job Description

      • Recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
      • Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical and surgical procedures and other patient care.
      • Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
      • Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
      • Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
      • Scribing notes for Practitioners
      • Answering phones, scheduling appointments
      • Other clerical duties may include, but are not limited to, faxing, prior authorizations, patient results phone calls, lab and surgical paperwork.

      Qualifications

      • High level of professionalism.
      • Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask.
      • Strong customer service skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Knowledge of electronic medical health care record systems.
      • Excellent computer and phone skills.

      Experience:

      • Minor surgical procedure experience and Moh’s preferred.

      Job Type:

      • Full-Time: 4-5 days per week.
      • Ability to be flexible to cover as needed greatly appreciated.
      • Dermatology experience.
      • Experience in MOHS assistance is a plus.
      • Experience with and knowledge of EMR.
      • Experience in assisting with minor surgical procedures.

      Education:

      • High school diploma or equivalent (Required).

      Certifications/Licenses:

      • Medical Assistant Certification (Required).
