- Interview patients and document medical history and visit purpose.
- Prepare and stock exam rooms; ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient care.
- Record vital signs (blood pressure, height, weight, temperature) and test results in the EHR.
- Assist medical staff with examinations and procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for lab testing.
- Administer respiratory treatments, injections, immunizations, and medications per standing orders or protocols.
- Support pediatric patients, including conducting blood draws.
- Conduct lab procedures such as hemoglobin testing, EKGs, urine analysis, lead level testing, and more.
- Sterilize medical instruments and maintain sterilization logs.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries.
- Register patients and schedule appointments.
- Assist with managing payments and verifying insurance as needed.
- Educate patients on treatment procedures, medication, and follow-up instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Medical Assistant Certification (from an accredited institution).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (conversational fluency or higher).
- Comfortable and experienced with performing blood draws.
- Ability to work with pediatric patients.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical workflows, and EHR systems (EPIC preferred).
- Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field.
- One (1) year or more of Medical Assistant experience.
- At least six (6) months of experience using an EHR system.
- Formal phlebotomy training.

- Includes a lunch break and a 15-minute break
