      Req#: 14853

      The Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist reports to the Office Manager and works under the clinical supervision of the physician. The primary responsibility of the Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist is to ensure efficient patient flow through the office and support the physician with clinical duties and collect blood specimens for analysis and processes accessions requisitions into the Laboratory Computer System.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Education
        • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
        • Medical Assistant Certification preferred not required
        • Certified Phlebotomy Training Course completion and certificate preferred
      • Experience
        • Medical assistant experience preferred not required
        • Minimum 1 year of Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
      • Licensure and/or Certification
        • Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
      • Skills
        • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
        • Effective phlebotomy skills preferred.
        • Must be able to switch priorities and respond to changing needs of the department, including traveling to other locations for assignment.
        • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
        • Computer skills.
        • Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
        • Ability to maintain confidential information.
