What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and various diagnostic procedures, including EKGs and injections
- Manage patient flow and ensure smooth operations within the office
- Document vital signs, medical history, and clinical care quality measures
- Maintain and order clinical supplies to support office functionality
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements to safeguard patient information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical office procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a physician's office or other healthcare setting
- Graduate of an accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program
- Knowledge of intramuscular and subcutaneous injection administration
