      Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a talented Certified Medical Assistant to join their team across Westchester!

      Job Description

      Monitor patient arrival and assist with patient flow, ensuring that patients and visitors are greeted promptly and courteously. Escort patients to exam rooms, monitor patient wait times, assist patients in preparing for exams, and advise physicians when patients are ready. Assist during examinations if required or requested. Obtain and record patients' chief complaints, data, and histories, including vital signs, venipuncture, allergies, specimen collection, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, documenting results within the scope of practice. Perform, prep, and assist with clinical and technical services as assigned. Prepare medical records, take heights, weights, and vital signs, and record them. Ensure lab and other reports are on records before each patient's appointment. Provide interpretation services and clerical support necessary for the efficient and effective functioning of the office. Maintain examination rooms and medical areas in a clean and orderly fashion. Stock examination rooms with supplies and check supplies from vendors against packing slips as assigned. Update pertinent patient information, including medical insurance coverage and eligibility, in the appropriate EMR system. Retrieve and file medical reports/lab results. Maintain knowledge of HIPPA rules to ensure patients' health information is confidential.

      Responsibilities

      • Document results in patients' charts within the scope of practice.
      • Perform, prep, and assist with clinical and technical services as assigned.
      • Prepare medical records and take heights, weights, and vital signs.

      Essential Skills

      • 2+ years of MA experience
      • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
      • Experience with vitals and EMR systems
      • Knowledge of cardiology and internal medicine

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with Epic EMR system
      • Strong patient care skills
      • Willingness to float to different offices if necessary

      Work Environment

      This position is in a busy outpatient office environment with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 05:00 pm. The office handles 50-100 patients a day. There are openings in three different offices: Scarsdale, Hawthorne, and Yonkers. The Scarsdale office, which is the busiest, has two openings and requires strong candidates. The Hawthorne office is located at 40 Saw Mill River Road, Hawthorne, NY (Cardiology office). The Scarsdale office is at 688 & 696 White Plains Road, Scarsdale, NY (Cardiology & Internal Medicine). The Yonkers office is at 1086 N Broadway STE 240, Yonkers, NY (Cardiology office).

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
