      Overview

      We at Fairview Health Services are looking for Medical Assistant to join the Fairview Riverside Clinic in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position is approved for 80 hours every two weeks.       The Riverside Clinic has a diverse patient population and is one of the smaller clinics in our system. It is a close-knit Family Medicine Clinic with 8 providers, consisting of 5 MD’s and 3NP’s. We have a strong focus on exceptional patient care and experience, problem-solving as a team, and consistently celebrating our milestones and achievements.


      Responsibilities Job Description

      As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow

      • Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
      • Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, available resources, patient/family preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members.
      • Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN.
      • Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience

      Qualifications

      Required Qualifications

      • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN
      • Basic Life Support Certification

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Ambulatory Care Experience
      • AAMA Certification

      Other Required Skills

      Other skills that are desirable in top performer are communication skills, the ability to prioritize work, working successfully as a team outstanding care the ability accent change and engage in the improvement processing and a willingness to work at other sites.
