What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the maintenance of the employer’s internal revenue cycle reporting framework, providing accurate data inputs for recurring reports
- Review insurance billing activity and audit remittance receipts to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Investigate discrepancies in Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) or insurer reimbursements and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve them
- Monitor claim status, denials, and aged receivables to identify patterns requiring intervention
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to ensure documentation aligns with payer requirements for authorization and reimbursement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2–3 years of experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle operations
- Working knowledge of payer reimbursement processes, CPT/ICD coding, EOB review, and denial management
- Experience in a healthcare services environment, supporting billing processes for medical practices or outpatient clinics
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to ensure data accuracy in billing processes
- Familiarity with insurance billing systems and payer portals
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with clinical, operational, or administrative teams
- Background in maternal and/or infant health
- Familiarity with tools such as Tebra (formerly Kareo), Office Ally, Availity, or Change Healthcare
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to identify gaps in billing workflows and recommend improvements
