What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Read and analyze patient records to determine correct coding
- Accurately code for specialty services such as oncology and radiology
- Submit clean claims for payment and monitor claim denials
- Assist with provider education and maintain compliance with coding guidelines
- Maintain patient confidentiality and meet production goals with an error rate of 5% or less
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certification by AAPC or AHIMA (proof required)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and insurance regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a rural health clinic (RHC)
- Familiarity with eCW and Meditech systems
- Experience in a high production environment
