What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire billing cycle, including medical terminology and coding
- Perform charge entry, insurance adjudication, and payment posting
- Manage contractual agreements, statements, and collections processes
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve billing accuracy and efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of multi-specialty coding experience
- Proficiency in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases version 10 (ICD-10), and Health Care Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS)
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes and terminology
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Modifier Coding
- Familiarity with chronic illness management and integrated healthcare services
