      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct coverage reviews based on individual member plan benefits and medical/surgical service policies
      - Document clinical review findings in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
      - Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate necessary Utilization Management processes
      - Engage in discussions with treating providers regarding clinical cases
      - Participate in call coverage, including occasional weekend and holiday shifts for expedited clinical decisions

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Current, active, and fully unrestricted medical license
      - Current Board Certification with a pain subspecialty in either PM&R or Anesthesia
      - 5+ years of clinical experience post-residency in Pain subspecialty
      - Proficiency with MS Office (MS Word, Email, Excel, and PowerPoint)
      - Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with healthcare colleagues

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - License in North Carolina or New Mexico is a plus
      - Experience in managed care Utilization Management activities
      - Demonstrated leadership skills in working with other physicians
      - Knowledge of the local/regional managed care environments
      - Familiarity with integrating clinical and financial data and performance reporting tools
