What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the Program Manager for the Military Standard 1691 Construction and Material Schedule for various healthcare facilities
- Coordinate with the Department of Veterans Affairs to implement VA-specific requirements
- Conduct continual equipment dataset sustainment activities to ensure compliance with current Enterprise-level requirements
- Edit and publish policy-level guidance pertaining to equipment criteria in MHS and DVA projects
- Lead Equipment Working Group meetings and provide technical expertise in biomedical equipment requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in equipment associated with health facility planning, design, and healthcare delivery
- Biomedical technician training from a credentialed program, or a degree in engineering, architecture, or healthcare administration
- High-level written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
- Comprehensive knowledge of DoD medical space planning and design criteria
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Medical Logistics equipment services and associated agencies
- Experience with dental, veterinary, and research facilities
- Understanding of DoD space and equipment planning system (SEPS) and industry standards for medical facilities
