      GREAT HOURS! MAUMEE LOCATION
      Toledo Clinic's Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Department is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to answer phones, schedule appointments, and provide clerical support in a busy medical office located in Maumee OH. Previous medical office experience is preferred.

      Full-time and offers employee benefits - health/dental/vision, 401-k, employer paid life and disability insurance, paid time off (PTO), holiday pay and more.
      Monday-Friday (8-4:30).
      No weekend or holiday hours.


      General Summary:
      Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.

      Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
      • Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
      • Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
      • Updating insurance information.
      • Answering general patient questions.
      • Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
      • Collecting co-pays.
      • Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
      • Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
      Education:

      • HS diploma or GED.

      Required:

      • Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required.
      • Computer skills helpful.
      • Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
      • Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
      • Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

      Preferred:

      • Previous clerical experience in a medical office
      • Medical related coursework
