What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to all requests for medical record information from various requestors
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Analyze and scan medical records into the appropriate Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Notify providers for approval of document release
- Escalate unresolved medical record issues to management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2 years of professional experience with medical records
- High school diploma
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations concerning medical records, including HIPAA Standards
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a team-centered environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual
- Electronic medical records experience
