      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct audits of medical records and healthcare claims to assess accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations
      - Prepare and submit detailed reports on audit findings, including recommendations for improvements
      - Conduct medical policy research to support review findings
      - Utilize knowledge of healthcare coding conventions to identify suspicious patterns in documentation
      - Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and payer policy and coding guidelines

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Required Credential: Certified Professional Coder (CPC, CCS, CCS-P)
      - 2-5 years of related experience in auditing medical records
      - Proficiency in MS Office suite
      - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong attention to detail

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Licenses such as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
      - Experience with healthcare claims
      - Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask
      - Ability to conduct research in support of medical review determinations
      - Understanding of coding systems including ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and relevant federal and state guidelines
