POSITION OVERVIEW
As Global Tek Med continues to grow we are seeking a Medical Review Specialist Level I to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a scribe pillar by reviewing / condensing medical records, handling customer service calls, being responsive to Management's request, and other administrative duties. They will also check and respond to Microsoft Teams ("Company Instant Message Software") and check & reply to emails. The candidate must follow the Company's Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP") and Best Practices. The candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This part time position will be scheduled Monday through Friday; with expected work hours to be from 9:30am-1:30pm
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• None
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure organization/placement of all relevant documents within our company platforms
• Condense medical records into well organized, structured summaries.
• Answer and respond to inbound and outbound customer service calls and emails.
• Conduct file audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of the records/documents.
• Download/upload documents to the CRM platform.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to third-party contractors.
• Review and Organize Medical Records
• Other administrative duties as assigned.
• Quality control files, ensuring organization
• Possess visual capability and digital dexterity to operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
• Make fine visual distinctions upon proofreading written documents and viewing information on a computer screen.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing.
• Digital dexterity to assemble, retrieve and replace files.
• Communicate by telephone.
• Endure prolonged periods of sitting.
• Speak clearly and articulate messages.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• 1+ year(s) of experience in medical scribe, administrative support, or related field.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of CRM software is a plus.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute (wpm).
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and proofreading skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to sit at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to operate a computer and/or laptop through proficient typing, clicking, and viewing a monitor for extended periods.
• Must be adaptable and willing to take constructive criticism.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Standard understanding of medical terminology.
• Standard understanding or familiarity with medical records.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
