What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule patient appointments according to protocols and guidelines
- Answer telephone calls promptly in a courteous and professional manner
- Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into the electronic health record
- Inform callers about necessary items to bring to appointments and appointment expectations
- Maintain proper documentation of all activities and ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; college, vocational/technical training or certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a call center environment and/or in a medical/dental office setting
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of electronic health records software or equivalent
- Medical Assistant experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Familiarity with medical and dental terminology
